LAW ROACH WENT FROM REACTING TO KIM KARDASHIAN TO STYLING HER

LAW ROACH WENT FROM REACTING TO KIM KARDASHIAN TO STYLING HER

Less than a year after his viral reaction to a SKIMS product, the celebrity stylist became Kim's newest client.

LAW ROACH

Law Roach is one of the most recognizable celebrity stylists in fashion, best known for his long-running creative partnership with Zendaya.

But in September 2026, he added a very different name to his client list:

Kim Kardashian.

And the story behind the collaboration makes it even more interesting.

IT STARTED WITH A VIRAL REACTION

Almost a year earlier, Roach went viral after reacting to one of Kim Kardashian's most unusual SKIMS products: a pair of underwear featuring faux pubic hair.

The product itself became an internet conversation, and Roach's reaction to it spread across social media.

Rather than simply criticizing the idea, he discussed the Kardashian family's ability to understand pop culture and generate attention around products.

That moment became part of the online conversation surrounding SKIMS.

Fast-forward less than a year.

Roach was no longer reacting to Kim Kardashian's brand.

He was styling Kim Kardashian herself.

THE NEW CLIENT

On September 19, 2026, Kim Kardashian appeared at the opening celebration of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles wearing a vintage Yves Saint Laurent gown from the brand's Fall/Winter 2004 collection, designed during Tom Ford's era at the house.

The black-and-gold sequined dress originally appeared on the runway in 2004.

This time, it was selected and styled by Law Roach.

And Roach announced the new professional relationship with just two words:

“New client.”

FROM ZENDAYA TO KIM

Roach built his reputation through his work with celebrities including Zendaya, whom he began styling when she was a teenager.

His client roster has since included major names such as Céline Dion, Megan Thee Stallion and others.

His approach is particularly associated with archival fashion, vintage pieces and carefully constructed red-carpet moments.

Kim Kardashian now joins that roster.

And her first appearance with Roach immediately reflected that approach:

not a brand-new dress, but a 2004 Yves Saint Laurent archive piece.

THE TIMING IS WHAT MAKES THIS INTERESTING

The collaboration did not emerge in a vacuum.

Less than a year earlier, Roach's reaction to a SKIMS product involving Kardashian had become part of the online conversation around the brand.

Now the same person who had gone viral discussing Kardashian's product strategy is working directly with Kardashian on her image.

That is a very different relationship with the brand.

From observer.
To commentator.
To collaborator.

TWO PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND ATTENTION

Kim Kardashian built SKIMS partly around products that generate conversation.

Law Roach built his reputation around fashion moments that generate conversation.

Their partnership therefore brings together two people whose careers are closely connected to the way celebrity, fashion and social media interact.

And their first appearance together already created a very clear message:

Kim Kardashian has a new stylist.

Law Roach has a new client.

And fashion now gets to see what happens when the two approaches meet.
